This might just be the best wedding proposal ever.

It all started with a little white lie. Collin McKenna had his best friend, Trent, ask Collin’s girlfriend to help him set up a white party so he could propose to his girlfriend. Amanda Jones immediately said she’d help. Just as Collin knew she would.

Collin said he knew as soon as he wanted to propose to Amanda, that it had to be spectacular. So he called on his friends to help him. Part 1 of the plan was for the couple to head to Colorado. Jones said she had no idea at the time why they were going.

“Collin had been planning this trip for a while although I had only known about it up until a week earlier,” Jones said. “He had his kindergarten best friend, Trent Moskowitz, FaceTime us and tell us that he would be proposing to his girlfriend, Brianna Mcree, and that he really wanted us there to help orchestrate the proposal for the engagement party, which was themed as an all white party.”

Jones was thrilled to help out. She even shared a video of herself on TikTok getting ready for the friend’s “proposal”, which she later added a title to the video: “Me aka the most gullible person ever 30 minutes before I got proposed to.”

The California-based bride-to-be says she genuinely had no clue that everything was for her. She even helped decorate her own hotel room, thinking it was for Moskowitz and Mcree.

“I love love so I was completely on board from the get go and almost felt like flying to Vail for this engagement was my idea!” Jones said. “I even bought little decorations to set up their hotel room, which ended up being our hotel room, for after the proposal.”

The proposal was timed for sunset, so the couple was rushing to make it there in time. “Trent had asked if we could meet with the photographer early to bring a bottle of champagne that they could use for photos,” Jones said.

Once we met up with the photographer, he asked if we wanted photos which I then replied ‘no’ as it wasn’t my moment but Collin seemed really interested in taking a few.”

And then it all became clear. “We took a few photos and then he got down on one knee! I have never been so surprised in my life and truly so excited to start planning our dream wedding,” Jones said.

The newly engaged couple met through Jones’ brother, Michael, in 2017. The relationship was long distance until a year ago, when the couple located to Santa Monica, Calif., working on a new hard seltzer.

“Since we met so young it really has felt like we’ve grown up together in a way,” Jones said. “I feel like your twenties are the years of figuring life out, who we are, and what we want. This year has been my favorite so far as we’ve had so many exciting things happening! Now we’re in the early stages of planning a wedding so stay tuned to find out where we have it!”
