When you have children, and let’s face it, a spouse, it’s almost always the mom’s job to know where things are at all times. In addition to holding down a job, and raising four kids, a TikToker recently was asked to find what should have been simple – the TV remote. But like all things in a house full of children, once something is lost, it often gone for good. Into the abyss alongside lost socks and toys.

But Kacie (her last name withheld for privacy), had little time and patience to go searching the entire house for the lost remote. So when her kids asked for help finding it, she went to work. Taking apart the couch, removing cushions, Kacie could not find the lost remote.

So following a more typical search, the mom of 4 decided that the remote must have fallen down the back of the couch,  maybe even perhaps inside it. So like anyone would at this point – Kacie decides to pull out a knife and slice open the back of the couch to look for the remote.

Maybe it was a secret intuition only mom’s have, maybe it was bad luck, who knows? But once the couch was sliced open, it burst, spilling out dozens upon dozens of toys, trash, lost baby pacifiers and more onto the floor. Stunned, Kacie said in the video, “OMG! That’s disgusting.” In the background a child asks, “what is that?” Kacie laughs, It’s like an unboxing! Because a giant collection of lost kids’ toys and rubbish topple out.

Kacie is visibly shocked saying “OMG!! That’s disgusting,” while someone off-camera yells, “What is THAT?!” While the family is adjusting to their ‘new’ treasure, her son comes over and gently picks up a Superman toy, showing the camera. He is thrilled at the reunion. Kacie however, is a bit confused as she finds a baby’s pacifier in the mess.

Viewers couldn’t help but relate to the post, finding humor in the sudden explosion of 13-years-worth of a family’s lost items:

• “Wait, do a couch haul! What’s in there?”
• “Okay, but the real secret is how did you keep the same couch for 13 years with kids?”
• “I would have left it all there and acted like it didn’t exist.”
• “It looks like a couch cesarean section.”
• “This is so disgusting, I can’t even watch the full clip.”

And for those curious, Kacie told viewers that she not only found the lost remote, she found one more to spare.
