New Cadbury Easter ‘Bunny’ Wins Hearts – But It’s His 1 Unique Skill That Is Turning Heads

A new Cadbury Easter Bunny for 2025 was recently chosen, and you won’t be able to handle his cuteness. Or the fact that the chosen animal isn’t a rabbit at all. He’s a raccoon named Louie. Along with his sister, Lucy, the pair live with their human family, and sibling dog.

The duo has taken the internet by storm, with their painting skills combined with their amazing path to their current life, everyone can’t seem to get enough of these two loveable trash pandas. Louie is a Miami, Fla., rescue raccoon that was found by Jamie Arslan.

The tiny baby raccoon was found alone, near where his mother had died. For Jamie, it was a sign – she had just lost her father a week before. In a way, she said, it was like he had sent her the tiny raccoon to take care of and to help her navigate through her grief.

“After my father’s passing, I decided to take my mind off what I was experiencing and learn about wildlife rehabilitation,” Jamie said. She was a former vet tech, and she immediately started taking care of Louie, who she named after her father.

He is a social media influencer, fashion icon, fitness model, food connoisseur, and artist.”

The feisty raccoon has an entire resume now, she said. His bio on his website, louietheraccoon.com, makes sure to note that giving back to help other animals like him is important. “Louie shares his home with his roommates consisting of his sister, Lucy, the raccoon, three dogs, three cats, and one fish. Louie is very passionate about giving back. He is currently partnered up with Samadhi Wildlife Rescue to help raise funds for a new rescue location!” his website said.

After she got Louie, it wasn’t long before she found Lucy, his sibling. Together, the pair now live with Jamie, who got a license to take care of the raccoons. Jamie said she started his website, and his Instagram page to meet other “raccoon people,” she said. She was shocked when he skyrocketed to Internet fame, with nearly 400,000 followers.

But it was painting that first got him noticed, well that and his jaunty hats and cute outfits. Jamie supplies the canvas and non-toxic paint, and Louie, along with Lucy, rushes to dip his paws into the paint and step on the canvas. Jamie dubs the ‘Loucasso’ paintings, and sells them online. All proceeds, she said, are going to the Samdhi Wildlife group, to help them open a new location.

All of this is why Louie was crowned the grand-prize winner for Cadbury. For  his win, he also earned a $7,000 prize, and the record of being Cadbury’s first raccoon winner. “We’re thrilled that Louie has been chosen as the winner of this year’s Cadbury Bunny Tryouts – we are longtime fans of the Cadbury brand and are honored to see Louie join the long legacy of incredible Cadbury Bunnies,” Jamie said, in a press release after his win.

Love, grief and kindness all led to this tiny raccoon being saved – and now those emotions have been turned into a way to help others. All something, Jamie said, that her father taught her was important in life.
