Sometimes it’s easy to think we all see the world in the same way.
But for some, eyesight can be a tricky thing. Not everyone experiences vision in the exact same way.
For one bride, her Walt Disney Wedding in Florida was already magical. But, it lacked a bit of brightness due to her color blindness.
That is, until Kristin Robinson was given a pair of special glasses that turned her world into a dazzling array of color.
The Pennsylvania bride had been colorblind since birth. There is no cure, although specific glasses like the ones given to Kristin can make a huge difference.
She described the world as looking ‘more mute’ than it would for someone with normal vision.

But there was one thing that she had been wanting to do forever – and the glasses made it possible.
“I’m most excited to see Nick’s eyes for the first time,” Kristin said of her new husband.
I see them as beautiful blue eyes, but he tells me they are green.”
No one could miss the look of amazement on the bride’s face after she put on the glasses, which can cost upwards of $500 or more. Nearly speechless, she looked at the flowers she was carrying.
“That’s so cool,” Kristin said. “Are those pink flowers? I’ve never seen anything like that.”
She said that she had thought that all her flowers were white – until she put on the glasses. “This is surreal. I’ve always dreamed of this; I finally get to see the colors.”
Her husband, Nick, said he was glad that the glasses helped his wife see their wedding day fully. “I’m just so happy – I get chills thinking about it.”
The new world of color didn’t end there for the couple. They finished off their wedding day with fireworks at the Epcot Center. The blasts of color against the night sky amazed Kristin.
Nick, I’m seeing a lot of colors right now,” she said, smiling. “Oh my gosh!”
For her new husband, just being able to share the world around them with Kristina was more than he could have asked for. “Honestly this is a magical day so just being able for her to see the color, everything we see within Disney, in the pavilion, the stained glass.”
“I’m just so happy that not only is it a great day, it’s our wedding day,” he said.
