Lotto Winner Takes Another Gamble With Ticket – He Can’t Believe What Happens Next

Who doesn’t dream of winning the lottery? We all wish Lady Luck would grace us with a fortune, making our dreams come true.

So when a North Carolina man decided to buy a scratch-off ticket when stopped at a gas station for lunch, he knew it could make dreams come true.

After all, he had won a $1 million jackpot just 2 years before.

In July 2021, 41-year-old Pharris Frank purchased a $25 lottery ticket at a local convenience store in his hometown. After scratching off the ticket, he realized he had won the jackpot.

He took home more than $400,000 after federal and state taxes were taken out. Frank and his then-fiance used some of those funds to have their dream wedding, the couple said.

Now, just a few short years later, Frank, a construction worker, found himself in the same situation – but this time with a $2 million jackpot as his prize.

“It’s crazy because the day before I won, my buddy was asking me how it felt to win $1 million,” he told N.C. Education Lottery.

And I told him that I was going to double it.”

And double it he did. With one Diamond Dazzler scratch-off ticket from Handy House gas station in Morehead City, N.C., he was now a two-time jackpot winner.

“It’s cool because the first time I won it was two miles from my house and this time I was four and a half hours away,” Frank said. “What are the chances of me being down there at that exact moment in time?”

He said he phoned his wife, still in shock. “I called my wife and told her, ‘I did it again,’ ” Frank said. “I didn’t know if I was dreaming or not.”

After taxes, election officials said that Frank will take home $855,006.

This time, Frank said, he plans on using some of the money to take his now-wife on a vacation.

Frank’s odds for winning the $2 million jackpot? One-in-1,528,470. Surprisingly, his odds for winning the first jackpot were even more unlikely with a one-in-2,017,650.

He isn’t the first to hit multiple jackpots. In 2022, a Massachusetts man won $25,000 for life – six times.
