Girl Catches Dad in Bed With Surprise Guest – And She Can’t Believe Her Eyes

Sometimes what you see is exactly what you get. At least that’s what one daughter learned when she checked in on her father recently. When Catey Hall visited her dad, she knew he would be napping. But when she poked her head into his room, she was shocked to find more in the bed than just her father.

And her first reaction was to snap a picture for proof of what she saw. But for the Alabama dad, Lon Watson, being in bed alone just isn’t as good as having plenty to snuggle with – and sometimes the man says it requires bringing in some neighbors.

Catey Hall says this is nothing new from her father. He has always done his best napping with his furry friends – the family pets, as well as neighborhood dogs. From bed snuggles, to couch snuggles, Watson never has to nap alone. His pets will climb on him and make a furry pile for naptime, and the neighbor pets join in.

Dad sees, plays with and naps with one or more of these dogs on a daily basis. They come running when they see his car and follow him inside,” Hall said.

“For as long as I can remember, my dad has rescued stray dogs,” Hall said. “Growing up, we always had a dog. But there was always room for a stray in need. Now that he lives alone with his wife, there’s room for several. They work with rescues in the area to find homes for the dogs in need; however, not all of them are re-homed, and they stay with dad forever.”

Watson and his wife have four dogs of their own, all rescued by the couple. In addition to their own animals, they get regular visits from neighborhood dogs – Hooch, Fluffer-Nutter and Rosie. Dogs are often known for their loyalty, and these three pups are no different. They will spend the whole day waiting to get a chance to hang out with Watson.

“The neighborhood is an unincorporated section of semi-rural Alabama. The houses are set far back from the street, so the dogs can bounce from house to house safely,” Hall said. When Watson’s truck rumbles up the driveway, the dogs come running to meet him. Thankfully, the dogs’ owners enjoy their pets taking doggy breaks with Watson. Afterall, who would want to interrupt a good nap?

Hall said that every dog her dad meets forms a connection with him. Even her own two dogs love him to pieces. “As a matter of fact,” she said, smiling, “they try to leave with Dad when he’s here visiting.” For a look at what it’s really like having dogs sleep with you, watch below!
