Girl Asks Each Sibling For Money – Their Response Was Beyond Anything She Expected

It’s often the simplest moments in life that can teach you the most important lessons.

For Tia Bee Stokes, life has often had it’s hardships. But through it all, her six siblings have been by her side. Tia, who is a cancer survivor, and a mom of 5 children, knows that faith and family are the two things that can get you through anything.

So when she got an idea to show her family support system to others, she made sure to video it for Instagram. It was simple – Tia asked each sibling for $100, with no explanation as to why. And pretty soon the responses were coming in and sending her video viral. In it, Tia was in tears as she showed what her family did for her.

She was already a presence on Instagram and had a following for dance videos she made during cancer treatment. “Who would’ve thought (I would be) dancing for people with cancer, donating to people with cancer or other illnesses, and who would’ve thought I would be diagnosed with a life acute myeloid leukemia?” Tia said during an interview.

It was almost like I was preparing myself for what I was going to go through and preparing myself for the ultimate fight.”

But it was this video that reminder her of how important family can be when you need support the most. In it, you see Tia’s simple message. “I asked all of my six siblings for $100 with no reason except I was in a bind and I was shocked at how they responded,” she said. She included her venmo. And her family didn’t disappoint.

While Tia knew her family was supportive, she said the overwhelming positivity from their messages shocked her. They ranged from: “Of course,” “Let me know if you need anything else,” and “I gotchu!”.

Tia said that she knows her parents are looking down from Heaven at the siblings, proud of the adults they are, even if they aren’t perfect. “But our love is strong,” she added, noting in the video overlay, “They taught me, ‘Love with no reason.’” Currently in remission, Stokes continues to share her dancing videos to hopefully inspire others to keep fighting.
