Family’s Dog Races Toward Stranger – But What The Camera Catches Leaves Them Laughing

Move over, guard dogs — there’s a furry new security detail in town, and he’s more interested in treats than trespassers.

Meet Frank, a 3-year-old golden retriever whose recent attempt to “protect” a package ended with him stealing the internet’s heart instead. His adorable antics, caught on camera during a FedEx delivery, have solidified his reputation as the friendliest — and least intimidating — guard dog on duty.

The now-viral TikTok clip, shared by Frank’s owners, Bri Tonzi and Steve Agati, begins with the caption, “Why golden retrievers can’t be guard dogs.” Security footage shows Frank trotting excitedly toward a delivery truck in his Auburn, New York, driveway, tail wagging like a metronome set to “maximum joy.”

Rather than barking or standing watch, the golden retriever shadowed the driver to the front door, flashing a grin that could melt Antarctica. The piece that takes the cake? Frank photobombed the delivery confirmation photo, posing proudly beside the package like a furry employee of the month.

The wholesome moment didn’t go unnoticed. “No, he’s doing a perfect job guarding the package,” one commenter joked, according to Agati. Another added, “Package left with the receptionist.” Viewers flooded the post with praise for Frank’s hospitality, with one admitting, “If this is why my package was late. I’m ok with it.”

I would come to your house everyday just to play with your dog whether I had a parcel or not.”

For Tonzi and Agati, Frank’s fame was a happy accident. “I’m driving home, and I see a FedEx email, and I just opened it quick, and the picture opened, and I went, ‘What?’ And so that’s when I went back on my cameras and found it,” Agati explained. The couple initially shared the clip privately, but after friends urged them to go public, the video amassed 13.9 million views — and counting. “That’s our normal Frank, and to think that this video brought so much joy and so many people saw it is just crazy,” Tonzi said.

Frank’s charm offensive is nothing new. Adopted in 2022 from a Pennsylvania breeder, the pup quickly won hearts with his gentle giant persona. “We joked that his name was Frank The Tank,” Agati said about the dog’s considerable size. “So the breeder accidentally made his birth certificate read Frank The Tank, so that’s what his name is legally in the AKC.” Despite his stature, Frank’s manners are impeccable — no chewed shoes, no indoor “accidents,” and a penchant for lounging at his humans’ feet during dinner. “He just knows what to do and loves people,” Agati said. “He goes everywhere, and he’s so chill.”

As for the FedEx driver? “He tried, but Frank was only interested in another treat,” the family wrote. Unfazed, Frank continues living his best life, splitting time between roaming his two-acre yard and preparing for his next big role: ring bearer at Tonzi and Agati’s wedding.
