Surprising loved ones is always an emotional rollercoaster, and for Quincie Pullen, it’s a family tradition. In a heartwarming twist, Pullen, along with her husband Zach and their baby girl, Ella, pulled off a sweet surprise that’s taking TikTok by storm.
It all started when Pullen, a TikTok creator, decided to make a longtime dream come true. “I’ve always wanted to surprise my family with our baby sitting on the [front] porch and we finally did it!” she said in the caption of her viral TikTok, which now has more than 14.6 million views. The family packed up and embarked on a 15-hour journey from their home in Florida to Pullen’s parents’ place in Maryland.

In the video, Zach can be seen quickly knocking on the front door after placing Ella’s car seat on the doorstep. When Pullen’s father opens the door, his reaction is priceless. “Oh my gosh. Are you kidding me? What are you doing here?” he gushed, in shock over the tiny visitor. Though her parents had already met Ella when she was born, this was still a moment to treasure.
But the real surprise came for Pullen’s sister, Lauren, who had yet to meet her baby niece. As soon as she spotted Ella, Lauren’s joy was undeniable. “She was so shocked when we showed up to the house,” Pullen said.
She was actually supposed to fly out later in the month to meet her, but we decided to surprise her instead!”
The trip itself was no small feat. It took two days of driving to cover the distance, but Pullen and Zach split up the journey to make it easier on little Ella. “We originally booked last-minute flights, but we were too excited that we decided to just drive the 15 hours instead to get there a day earlier,” Pullen said. The impromptu road trip added an extra layer of fun to the surprise, making it even more memorable.

For Pullen, surprise visits like these are part of her family DNA. “Growing up, we would always road trip to go surprise our families that lived in different states by showing up at their doorstep,” she recalled fondly. “I always remember their [reactions] being so emotional and sweet!” Now, with a family of her own, Pullen is keeping that tradition alive.
“I feel like it’s something that’s just built in me to want to surprise my family in my adulthood, and now, being a mom, this is definitely something I envisioned that we would do one day,” Pullen added. And judging by the reactions, this surprise was everything she had hoped for and more.
