Dad Goes Viral For ‘Stealing’ 1 Thing From His Daughter – Now He’s An Internet Sensation

Your No. 1 fan is usually your parents.

And nowhere is this more on display than for one young cheerleader whose dad is stealing the show at her games.

In a heartwarming display of support, the Texas dad has gone viral after learning his daughter Jazlyn’s cheerleading routine and stealing the show at a recent football game.

Andre Simmons’ wife, Cecelia Simmons, captured the delightful moment on TikTok, and the video, posted on September 30, has since gone viral with more than 312,000 views.

As the Temple High School cheer team enthusiastically performed their routine, Andre Simmons, the proud father, was right there in the stands, perfectly mirroring their moves.

Cecelia, in her caption, revealed a hidden passion, stating, “Everyone always asks André Simmons about the boys continuing his football legacy little do they know he’s waited his whole life to be a cheer dad,” accompanied by a beaming face emoji.

TikTok users were quick to crown Andre as the “cheer dad of the year,” praising his infectious energy and spot-on dance moves. Comments poured in, with one user playfully stating, “Baby he didn’t miss 1 cheer dad practice and it shows.”

He is the coordinator, the girls are watching him for the next cue.”

Others commended him for being the ultimate supporter, attending all games and practices with unwavering enthusiasm.

In a Good Morning America interview, Andre admitted that he’s not the best dancer and that it took him a few days to master the routine. His motivation, however, was crystal clear – he wanted to create a “lifelong memory” for his daughter, Jazlyn. As an infantryman who is often away for work, Andre saw this as an opportunity to bridge the gap and make up for lost time.

“She thought she made the varsity cheer team so my way of supporting her and kind of trying to make up that time lost is doing things that she loves and surprising her with joining her in the cheer during the football game,” he said.

The surprise didn’t just resonate with Jazlyn; her cheer team friends were equally delighted, and Andre’s effort meant the world to him. The proud dad expressed his commitment to being a “super dad” and creating cherished memories for his family.

“I love to try to be super dad when I’m here and create those lifelong memories, and it’s something for us to look back on and enjoy together,” he said.

Looking ahead, Andre has no plans to hang up his cheer dad hat. He’s determined to continue supporting Jazlyn and making more memories together. “At the end of the day, it’s all for her. So I’m gonna get up there and do the cheer with her,” he said.

In a world often filled with challenges, Andre stands out as a shining example of a father’s love and commitment.
